The Lecture by Mr Sunil Handa

Followed by the inauguration of eweek by CEL and Nirmaan was the
Social Entrepreneurial Workshop. A welcome speech for the Chief
Guests, a video- Refulgence a social B plan competition, and finally
the workshop by Mr Sunil Handa.
Mr Sunil Handa is a professor from IIM Ahmedabad and has been teaching
there for 17 years. An ex BITSian, he is a very strict person as
evident from the fact that he took the chief guest's phone away. Mr
Handa started off with a story of his student Narendra and went on to
speak about his allergies and his interests. He is a very open speaker
giving straightforward opinions about everything. Hindi dominated most
of his talk, and so were his jokes. The element of humour of the
session was enhanced by his constant serious expressions. The audience
was impressed on hearing that he came up with the name OASIS and the
story behind it.
Mr Handa had various stories for the audience from politics to
academics and had morals in them. He believes that a person must never
give up, believe in yourself and to be an opportunist. Mr. Handa
explained about his role in ADR and politics.
Finally he was very strict about his schedule and thus an abrupt
ending to the session. There is another session on tomorrow, 8th Feb.
