Sparks New Ventures Final Presentation

BITSAA International in association with the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, BITS Pilani initiated an innovative, first of its kind course at BITS Pilani called Sparks New Ventures aimed at promoting and supporting technology based startups at BITS Pilani. The programme, coordinated by Mr. Abhinav Khushraj comprised of several online lectures by eminent personalities across the world on topics essential to a startup's growth and success; as well as extensive mentoring for the participating teams by eminent professionals. The programme also includes seed funding for the top performer of the class.

In its maiden edition, Sparks managed to create ripples across campus as well as among alumni networks for its meticulous planning & execution as well as impact on the status of entrepreneurship support on campus.

The participating teams delivered their final presentations of Business Plans on 25th November, 2009 at the Lecture Theater Complex (LTC) at BITS Pilani. 3 teams, who worked on 3 different technology-startups over the semester had prepared a Business Plan and presented their ideas in front of a jury comprising of Prof. Arya Kumar, Unit Chief- Entrepreneurship Development & IPR Unit; Professor Anil K. Bhat, Group Leader, Management Group & Mr. Abhinav Khushraj, Strategy & Business Development Manager, Nokia & Coordinator of the programme.
