StartUp Showcase

Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at BITS Pilani is coming up with yet another initiative in its endeavor to promote start ups and instill the culture on campus. To be held during the finals of Conquest 2009, the international business challenge organized by the center, StartUp Showcase aims at showcasing four of India’s best startups to the audience on campus at BITS Pilani.

Conquest 2009, in its sixth edition has received over 200 entries of business plans from four continents and is all set to have grand finale on 8th & 9th August, 2009. The event will witness the confluence of several entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, BITS alumni, Conquest finalists and over 4000 bright young minds from BITS Pilani.

Several venture capitalists like Mahesh Murthy from Pinstorm, Raj Gollamudi from BlueStream Ventures, Prajakt Raut from Indus Medinet Ventures and Abhishek Goyal from Accel have already confirmed their presence and the list is expected to increase in coming days.

StartUp Showcase would prove to be the perfect platform for a startup to accelerate. The selected few startups would get an opportunity to maintain an exhibit stall on both days of the event, give a public presentation about their firm as well as get an exclusive chance to interact with the VCs present. With heavy press coverage, the startups are sure to get publicity for their firms, apart form opportunities to recruit some the best brains as employees or interns.
