An Exciting Prospect

To add to the long list of awe – inspiring BITsian start-up tales , heres another one - Cube Inc. ,India ; and the guy behind it……?

Neeraj Agarwal (a second year undergraduate student of BITS Pilani) . He is the cofounder (along with Arvind Singh Gulati-a fourth year student ) and chief software architect , Cube inc. , a start-up based on providing extremely affordable web solutions to clients . The start of his journey was in one of the most conventional ways - freelancing in the summer break right after his first year at BITS , in Web and Desktop applications ; but the eventual growth has been sharp and steady with Cube making more than INR.6 lacs within just five months of his founding since November 2008.

A complete computer geek himself(as he claims…!) , his love for gadgets has lead him to work on ‘HOBOT’, a home robot which boasts of superior programming in Java . He is on a lookout for hardware partners for the same .The latest project up his sleeve has been a recent web application he designed for Apple ; n that is not all …………he also gave a shot to designing a content management system (CMS) called Joomla , that so far has earned him about 20k in just 2 months…!!!.

And how does he balance all that he has laid his hands on, with acads (maintaining a decent 6.8…..!!!) ..??? ” I spend around 3-4 hours a day and the whole of Sundays and holidays on Cube…….” , is what he has to say ……..amazing dedication…!!!

Future plans….??? Along with Arvind ,he plans to set up an office this summer for Cube Inc. at Ghaziabad which is planned to be the head office for future projects .
